Students are provided with cultural norms of language use, register, vocabulary and grammar structures enabling them to use English to communicate at internationally recognized levels both orally and in writing. in order to communicate and function in a technological world where English is the accepted International language .Students will develop into autonomous, responsible, independent language learners using 21st century skills including reflection and metacognitive awareness.
A selected group of students participate in an award winning Blog project called RelatioNet, in which students meet and interview Holocaust survivors then create blogs documenting their lives and places of origin.

All levels of the English Program are 3 years long and contain:
Integrated Learning and assessment of all of the skills in English: listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as core vocabulary and language knowledge and skills over a 3 year period.
English Literature -different genres, length and number of pieces according to the level of English studied-3,4 or 5 points
Assessment:
There are 4 modules on each level bagrut exam (3,4,5 point levels) which assess the same skills and knowledge but each at a more challenging level. The sum of those final grades comprise the final grade for a student in English. All of these are external grades except for Literature which is only a school grade Task and Project Based learning Initiative .

27%- Lower module exam- taken at the end of the 11th grade .
27% Higher module exam- taken at the end of the 12th grade.
26% Project Based Learning- Internal Literature Module-Grades are accumulated over 3 years of learning and assessment of the Literature Program-
20%-Computerized Oral Bagrut Exam-COBE-.Assessment of Spoken English- taken in the 12th grade
